FPTI Compatibility and Clashes

Type pages include people you may vibe with and people you may clash with. Those lists are editorial pattern notes, not a matching service. This guide explains how to use them without turning a meme quiz into a relationship court.

What “vibe with” actually means here

It means the way two archetypes handle attention, conflict, and follow-through often complements instead of colliding. A THERAPIST FRIEND and a LOYAL FERAL can look like a care-and-defense pair. A JESTER and a CHAOS GREMLIN can look like a room that never goes quiet.

It does not mean you should date that type. It does not mean you will like every person who got that result. It does not mean the other 14 types are enemies.

What “clash” usually is

Most clashes in FPTI are pacing problems. ICE MONARCH wants fewer messages. YAPPER wants more. EMOTIONAL TAX EVADER leaves when feelings send an invoice. ROMANTIC LIABILITY wants the invoice paid tonight. None of that is a moral ranking. It is two strategies occupying the same chat.

A second clash type is evidence versus hope. GROUP CHAT ORACLE wants timestamps. DELULU ARCHITECT wants a cathedral built on one emoji. Put them in a group chat about a situationship and you will hear both religions.

How we chose the lists

Each type page used to point at the same three “related” names because the template grabbed the first items in an array. That was low-value and also wrong. The current lists are written per type: who complements the loud trait, and who tends to starve it.

They are still not data. We do not run a dating study. If your life disagrees with a clash note, your life wins. Email a correction if a pairing is consistently backwards in practice.

A better use than shipping roles

Use clash notes as a translation layer. If you are high Loyalty and they are high independence, you can say “I show up fast; you show up on your own clock” instead of “you do not care.” If you are high Drama and they are NPC-calm, you can ask for one clarifying sentence instead of a trial.

Then go read the actual type pages and the dimension that is causing the friction. Compatibility copy without the scores is astrology with better fonts.

Hard boundary

Do not use FPTI clash lists to justify controlling someone, isolating them from friends, or diagnosing them. The disclaimer is not decoration. For how a result should be read at all, use the result-reading guide.
